Inspiration
Zep is classic example of what a simple house wife can create when inspired. Like every concerned parent, it was a big shock to Ms.Netra Tendulkar (founder member) when, in 1990, son Preyas was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. She found no proper school for children with disabilities, so in 2000 she got trained as Special Educator at the Institute of NIMH (National Institute of Mentally Handicapped), Pune. She started working with special school & Pediatric Physio Therapist Centre’s such as Ankur Vidya Mandir, FC Road, Pune, Dr. Priya Bhide’s Clinic at J.M. Road, Pune. Her concern did not limit to only Preyas, but for other such children in society that led to foundation of Zep Rehabilitation Centre.
In the year 2008 she started on humble mission with a dream to have her own Rehabilitation Centre with the help of friends & relatives to provide education and treatment facilities under one roof. She started with just 8 children. Today Zep provides the rehabilitation education & training to 101 children with the help of 32 teachers and supporting staff at the centre.
